What We Do

In addition to our laundry services, Kingston Midtown Rising offers programs and activities at the Broadway Bubble, 718 Broadway, both in groups and one on one. We offer acute emergency support and longer-term mobility mentoring support for our guests. We welcome you to speak with a Broadway Bubble team member if you have a need, but rest assured that when you visit, one of us will greet you.

In our laundry facility you’ll find seating, tables, and refreshments available to anyone who enters the laundromat. We are a welcoming environment for neighborhood socializing. For kids, there is an outdoor play space and indoor craft area. Our frequently changing programs partner with numerous organizations. Please check our calendar—which you’ll find here as well as on our Facebook and Instagram pages—to find out what’s happening or just come by the laundromat during business hours. Let us know if you’d like to volunteer!

Our classroom/conference room, the Community Hub, is a multipurpose space for our free programs. Here is a sampling:

Spanish classes

Participants range from retired volunteers serving immigrant communities to schoolteachers and their students. Join us!

GED classes

Finish your high school education! Taught in English and Spanish.

English classes

We partner with Ulster Literacy to offer English classes that draw a remarkable diversity of students from over a dozen countries.

Guitar lessons

Come learn guitar or just swing by for the music!

BEAST Program

Bubble Empowerment and Sports Training program offers sports, small-group therapy, arts + culture, and fun + games for 5–14-year-olds. A partnership with One Strike Fitness.

ORACLE Outreach

The ORACLE (Opioid Response as County Law Enforcement) team helps you + your family without judgment or legal consequences.

Crosswords + Coffee

We welcome our senior neighbors for coffee, crosswords and fun.

We hold classes in our flexible Community Hub space, equipped with a restroom, a small kitchen, a screen and whiteboard, and caster tables and chairs.
